Frontline-Foundations-Hooked-on-Art-Festival-Call-for-Artists-2017_01Want to share your art with the community? Frontline Foundations Inc. is seeking artists to create, sell, or share their creative talents in the Sixth Annual Hooked on Art – Live Street Art Festival. Held in Downtown Chesterton on Saturday, September 23, artists can enter as a live street artist or art vendor. With $2,000 in total cash prizes, the Festival Chalk Art Competition is open for entries as well. 1st place will receive $1,000, 2nd place takes $750, and 3rd receives $250. Those interested may visit www.hookedonartfestival.com to download an application and find out more.

“We’re excited to have a variety of art mediums every year and for each artist to stand out from the rest.” said Derek Frazier, Operations Director at Frontline. “You won’t see two artists of the exact same craft. For example, there may be two glass artists, but one makes jewelry while the other makes glass plates.”

Over the years, Hooked on Art has hosted local Indiana artists and those from across the country, such as Ohio, Iowa, and Florida!

“Hooked on Art is a great advantage for local artists.” Said Frazier, “Placement for street artists is front and center to wow and sell to the Festival crowds.” The Festival takes place alongside the Duneland Chamber’s popular European Market, hosting crowds from all across the region.
